Ways to Get Involved

The Susan G. Komen Virginia Blue Ridge Komen on the Creeper is a 15-mile walk for women and men who are ready to end breast cancer forever. Participants raise a minimum of $500 and walk 15 miles on the Virginia Creeper Trail in one day, educating hundreds of people about breast health and raising funds for breast cancer research and community outreach programs with every step. It takes support from our entire community to tackle ending breast cancer in southwest Virginia. For Komen on the Creeper we are calling on all businesses to rally around and help support our passionate walkers who are saving lives! See below for ways you can show your support of our mission and our walkers!

Creeper WalkersCHEER
15 miles is a long way to walk. Our walkers will need help staying motivated throughout the route. If you are a business along their path, come out to cheer them on! We encourage you to make signs, bring pink decorations, use music, and support them so they can finish strong! The public is encouraged to cheer along the Creeper Trail as well. If you plan on setting up a cheering station, please let us know by emailing ezimmerman@komenvablueridge.org so we can assist with logistics.

Creeper Volunteers v3VOLUNTEER
We need dozens of helpers to make the event a success! If you want to be involved with Komen on the Creeper as a rest stop volunteer, course marshal, set-up crew or more, click here to sign up for a spot. We have space for groups who want to volunteer together, just contact us to coordinate!

Registration is open until October 22nd, and fundraising continues up until the event. Support a friend's fundraising efforts by donating. Or, register and fundraise yourself! Register here.
